Story 3 - The Sea

sea.png

Kangu had never seen the sea. He only knew the direction to the sea and sometimes he looked longingly in this direction. Sometimes it also made him very sad. Because ... there was something he didn't know yet...

One day, as Kangu looked off into the distance toward the sea, he couldn't hold on any longer. He jumped up and skipped to the next hill.

Maybe he saw the sea from this hill?

When he reached the hill, he was disappointed to find that another hill in front of him was blocking his view. So off he went, up the next hill, then up the next hill, and up the next hill.

And when Kangu had already passed several hills, he suddenly heard something. At first, it was quieter, but with each hill, it became louder. A roaring! Which ended with a thunder, only to start again with a roar!

Suddenly!!! Look!!!!

Not far ahead at all, he could see it: It had to be the sea. It was beautifully blue, and the waves were thundering on the beach - that was the sound he had heard.

Have you ever been to the sea? What did you like there?

Usually, there is lots and lots of sand at the seaside. And what can you do with sand? Of course!

Baking sand cakes, building castles, and that with the water from the sea, wonderful! That's what Kangu had in mind now. However, the beach was deserted. There was no playmate.

The first thing Kangu did was to build a tunnel in the sand. Then he jumped for joy through the dunes. You don't know what dunes are? Just imagine pushing sand with your sand shovel to a small pile of sand, and you have a dune - in miniature. On the beach, that's what the wind does. It blows and blows, pushing the sand into a big pile, a dune. These dunes are much bigger than you and Kangu.

But romping in the sand was a lot of fun for our friend, and I'm sure it would have been a lot of fun for you, too.
